The exhibition «Sonic Noir: The Sonic Other» presents artistic works,
focusing on the iconic visual characteristics of film genre noir such as
light/dark contrasts, shadows, camera-angles, leading to disorientation in
the space etc., though transmitting them by means of sound. In order to
find the answer, how noir sounds, artists can't avoid using of concrete
noir symbols and visual tools as well, but the atmosphere of suspense,
threat, ambivalence, typical for noir genre, is metaphorically produced.

Sykora, Wan Qian Lin, Nicolas Rosero, Felipe Vaz, Carlos Villamizar

The art works are located in different places in Neukölln:

that every passer-by could interact (virtually) through sound with public
space
