Liebig12 is happy to announce *ANNE FRITZ & KONRAD KORABIEWSK*I as
artists and curators in Residency at Liebig12!

After completing his residency with DAAD Artists-in-Berlin

2014, *Konrad Korabiewski <http://korabiewski.com/> *joins together with
Canadian sound and radio artist *Anna Friz <http://nicelittlestatic.com/>* as
artists/curators in residence at* Liebig 12
<http://www.liebig12.net/konrad-korabiewski-artist-curator-in-residency/>* from
30.07 – 30.09.2014.

The duo will each be developing a new sound-based installation work, as
well as featuring other artist duos for several evenings of performance and
process during the residency.



*Anna Friz* is a Canadian sound and radio artist, and media studies
scholar.

She has performed and exhibited widely across North America, South America,
and Europe, and her radio art/works have been commissioned by national
public radio in Canada, Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, and
Mexico. She held a post-doctoral fellowship in the Sound Department at the
School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2011-2013). In the past year she
has been artist in residence at Skaftfell Center for Visual Art in
Seydisfjördur, Iceland, at radioCONA in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and at Laznia
Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdansk, Poland. Anna is a Wave Farm/
free103point9 transmission artist.

Polish | Danish | Icelandic  *Konrad Korabiewski *(1978) is an
award-winning experimental multimedia artist, based in Berlin and
Seyðisfjörður, east Iceland. In 2011, Konrad Korabiewski won the
international sound art competition *Europe – A Sound Panorama*

mixed media artist Litten (dk) created the pioneering and prize awarded
crossover interactive art-book project *Affected As Only A Human Being Can
Be *(2010). He holds a Masters degree in Electronic Music Composition from

*Konrad Korabiewski *and *Anna Friz* are running the Icelandic-based
independent artist-run organization *Skálar – Sound Art and Experimental
Music <http://skalar.is/>*, which acts as both an artist collective and a
mobile curatorial platform, and produces a nomadic festival, international
exchanges, and limited edition releases of audio and audio-visual works.
Skálar works with related international institutions to form a network of
artist interchange and presentation possibilities in Iceland and abroad,
with the objective of undertaking sound-based artistic experiments,
collaborations, presentations, and studies with artists working across
disciplines. Skálar is particularly interested to generate and support
artistic practices which highlight unstable systems, open spaces to new
interpretations and use, and which engage in perceptual feedback and affect
