*William “Bilwa” Costa* and *Michael McDermott* premiering “"*FIDELITY*”"

A new collaborative project between berlin based performer sound artist and
composer *Willian Bilwa Costa* and *Michael McDermott*, sound artist in
residency at Liebig12 for the month of September.
During his residency Michael will also present durational sonic meditation
concerts, give a talk on the connection between Deep Listening and Sonic

*AFTERBURNER*
Berlin based AFTERBURNER is the new collaborative project of vocalist* Audrey
Chen* and electronic artist *Doron Sadja*. Unique in a crowded field of
voice and electronics duos, the pair weaves together Chen’s idiosyncratic
vocal growls and chirps with Sadja’s dense synthetic atmospheres and
immersive smoke and light show into a singular monolithic landscape.

*Samuel Hertz* – - solo set
Berlin-based composer, researcher, and curator working at the intersections
of psychoacoustics and expanded listening practices.Former artist&curator
in Residency at Liebig12, his current research project concerns affective
crossings between humans and environment, ecological soundings, and
geophysical/atmospheric infrasonic sound.

*MichaelMcDermott*
performing durational sonic meditation

Composer, musician and artist in residence at Liebig12 *Michael McDermott* will
present a three hour durational sound bath. The concert is based on
practices of Deep Listening and Vipassana meditation.

Listeners are invited to enter and leave the space quietly to experience
some or all of the three hour performance of deeply still tones and sounds
at the edges between hearing and listening consciousness. Listeners can
experience the sounds through meditating, listening, reading, sleeping,
yoga or subtle movements that do not disturb the others in the space.

*Natsuko Tezuka* (movements, voice) + *Tomomi Adachi* (voice, movements)

*Tezuka* and *Adachi* present their collaboration first time in Berlin. Tezuka
extracts her dance and voice from Asian vernacular movements. Adachi uses
movements as an extension of his voice performance.
It is not a collaboration between a dancer and a musician, both of them
explore the realm of movements and voices equally to draw a weird presence
with their primal bodies and languages.

Dancer / Choreographer, *Natsuko Tezuka* was born in Yokohama Japan.She
started her career as a solo dancer in 1996, changing her style from
pantomime to dance, and she has worked with themes of trial and error to
explore her own style that does not employ conventional techniques.She
produced her Anatomical Experiment series with the theme of body
observation in 2001.In 2007, she made the piece to she videotaped a chat
with her family and traced their movement of the body. She performed this
piece, name is "Private trace", at the theater Berlin Mitte. In 2010, she
started a new project entitled Asia Interactive Research, which is a trial
to observe folk performing arts in Asia to think about what was Western
modernization.

*Tomomi Adachi* is a performer/composer, sound poet, instrument builder and
visual artist. Known for his versatile style, he has performed his own
voice and electronics pieces, sound poetry, improvised music and
contemporary music, also presented site-specific compositions, compositions
for classical ensembles, choir pieces for untrained musicians all over the
world including Tate Modern, Maerzmusik, Centre Pompidou, Poesiefestival
Berlin and Walker Art Center.
He has been working with a wide range of materials; self-made physical
interfaces and instruments, brainwave, artificial satellite, twitter texts,
3D printer and even paranormal phenomenas. CDs include the solo album from
Tzadik, Omegapoint and naya records. He was a guest of the
Artists-in-Berlin Program of the DAAD for 2012.
