Das Public Face II (http://www.publicartlab-berlin.de/blog/2017/02/27/public-face-energieavantgarde-anhalt/) ist eine künstlerische Datenvisualisierung in Form eines überdimensionierten Smileys, der die verschiedenen Zustände des regionalen Energiesystems in Anhalt zum Ausdruck bringt.

Die Künstler (http://www.publicartlab-berlin.de/blog/2017/02/24/public-face-julius-von-bismarck-benjamin-maus-richard-wilhelmer/) haben für die Emotionsmatrix des Public Face die notwendigen Daten von der energy & meteo systems (https://www.energymeteo.de/) GmbH erhalten und davon einen Algorithmus für die verschiedenen Energiezustände entwickelt.
 Je mehr regional erzeugte erneuerbare Energien genutzt werden, desto größer fällt das leuchtende Lächeln des Smileys aus.

Die Idee zum
Public Face (http://juliusvonbismarck.com/bank/index.php?/projects/public-face-ii/) ist ursprünglich im Jahr 2008 für das Medienfassaden Festival (http://mediafacades.eu/2008/festival) Berlin entwickelt worden, um die Stimmung von Menschen mit einer Detektionssoftware widerzuspiegeln. Das Public Face wurde mittlerweile europaweit auf verschiedenen Festivals gezeigt.

Kuratiert wird das Public Face II von Susa Pop und Public Art Lab (http://www.publicartlab-berlin.de/) für die Energieavantgarde Anhalt (http://www.energieavantgarde.de/) , partnerschaftlich vom Verein Energieavantgarde e.V. und dynamis (https://www.dynamis-online.de/) durchgeführt und kofinanziert von Future DiverCities (http://futuredivercities.eu/)  und der Europäischen Union wird.
INVITATION for Public Face II

Public Face II  (http://www.publicartlab-berlin.de/blog/2017/02/27/public-face-energieavantgarde-anhalt/) is a kinetic light sculpture of Julius von Bismarck (http://juliusvonbismarck.com/) , Benjamin Maus (http://www.feld.is/) and Richard Wilhelmer (http://richardwilhelmer.com/) which will be presented in the framework of the Energieavantgarde Anhalt (http://www.energieavantgarde.de/) , a network of experts in the field of renewable energy sources.

The installation is a data visualisation depicting the various states of the regional energy system in the form of an oversized luminous Smiley. The mouth and eyelids of the Smiley are moving and changing the sculpture’s ‘mood’ based on the loads of renewable energy generated and consumed in the region.

The artists (http://www.publicartlab-berlin.de/blog/2017/02/24/public-face-julius-von-bismarck-benjamin-maus-richard-wilhelmer/) received the necessary data from energy & meteo systems (https://www.energymeteo.de/) GmbH for the ‘emotion’s matrix’ of the Public Face II and developed an algorithm for the different energy states.

In this way, the Energieavantgarde Anhalt aims at conveying consciousness around alternative energy sources in the urban ecosystem.

The idea of
Public Face (http://juliusvonbismarck.com/bank/index.php?/projects/public-face-ii/) was originally conceived to express the citizens's mood with a newly developed detection software  in 2008 for the Media Facades Festival (http://mediafacades.eu/2008/festival) in Berlin and afterwards presented at numerous exhibitions europewide.

Public Face II is curated by Susa Pop, Public Art Lab for the Energieavantgarde Anhalt e.V. and dynamis (https://www.dynamis-online.de/) in cooperation with the City of Dessau-Rosslau. The project is a dissemination event in the framework of the project Future DiverCities (http://futuredivercities.eu/) , co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
