*Jealousy Party* is a Berlin based abstract R&B outfit blending noise and
improvisation with funk, dub and idiosyncratic electronic collage – a
fusion they term Punca. Founded in Florence, Italy in 1995 by producers
Roberta WJM Andreucci and Mat Pogo, JP keep their line-up open to
variations and explorations, with Edoardo Ricci as their main
collaborator. Right now they are active as a duo with founder members WJM
and Mat Pogo on players, electronics and vocals playing metamorphic samples
from the burning library of sessions that the duo recorded with an open
collective of artists involved in the Jealousy Party since years.

*LABEN / JD ZAZIE - BOWO a body without orgasm*
Inspired by: A.Artaud, G. Deleuze, F. Guattari
“How do you make yourself a body without organs?”

BOWO is provocation, is a process, a difficulty, a cell, a visual action.
BOWO is energy, informal sublimation. BOWO is partially free. BOWO goes
through repetition, it is a matter of identity, an organized working
system, a scary anarchic revelation, movement of the space, the thought in
the duration, intuitions escaped from the vital and unavoidable organs,
partial castration of the pure pleasure, landscape of current utopias, not
really performable, which reveal themselves.

*Light Movement invites the BOLEXWERKSTATT of the dffb: Serious Sketches *
A selection of short silent films in 16mm, made during 2016 in the
BOLEXWORKSHOP at the dffb (Deutsche Film-und Fernsehakademie Berlin).

In 2015, a BOLEXWORKSHOP was created at the dffb where students meet to
make 3 minute silent films with the 16mm Bolex camera. The circa 20 short
films are gathered under the title, Serious Sketches; some are finished
works, others works-in-progress.

*Spring Spiral: Robert B. Lisek / Kasia Justka / Bastiaan Maris*
The project is a real time happening, concert, performance non-determined
in its form and details. As its source, the work uses different types of
energies, data, sounds and videos, precisely those that are found and
transformed in the air in the surrounding space. Performers and artists are
creating vibrating pulsating space by using motors, emitters, amplifiers,
sound synthesizers, transmitters, generators, plasma and weapons. The event
is focus on the process of collaboration itself and on participation in the
environment, in which different sources and materials are transformed in
real time.

Duo Ulrike Brand and Olaf Rupp. Despite belonging to very different fields,
this duo creates a unique consonance. The result is a stylistic freedom in
an associative "play" with similarity and role exchange, reprise and
anticipation. The duo-constellation is potentiating these effects when the
continuing input of sounds from one player becomes part of the overall
sound and at the same time acts upon the other player creating a reciprocal
flow of communication.

Open call: Dark Technology / Dark Web

While smart is the keyword of the omni-connection through the
internet of things and social media, dark is the state of our relation with
the user-oriented technology that operates the data collection of
our online choices and issues our privacy and self determination in the web.

Like never before, we are spectators of an effort of sense-making within the
massive amount of data available, which is in urgent need of being
interpreted by controversial intelligent machines, such as hackers do when
they call them
systems of surveillance. In this digital space, the Dark Web extends into
grey-zone territory: banned by society as a container of illegal activities
while serving as a genesis of new subcultures.

The open call for this section of Dark Society aims to gather works that
unveil these technological dimensions while questioning the ability and
necessity for users to stay anonymous, hide their tracks or obfuscate their
surrounding systems of surveillance.
