Fri 14 April: Rhetoric Conversation + Tatsuru Arai #292
Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:00
*Entrance 7-12 euro (up to your offer)*

*Rhetoric Conversation - Structures of random occurrences*
An audiovisual performance based on voltage controlled audio and video
signals. Its idea explores the combinations between randomness and
predictability in the frame of experimental electronic, involving a
question about what could be audible and visible, and is not, and about
what is audible and visible and could not to be.

*Tatsuru Arai - Arkhitek-ton*
This performance “Arkhitek-ton” is a new Sound-Visual work, based on
Tatsuru Arai's algorithm system, which adds innovation to the principle of
Serialism three-point: "structural", "complex" and "noisy". The algorithm
sound is generated by state-of-the-art technology such as Artificial
Intelligence, rather than by native human intelligence only.

Structures of random occurrences (pieces 2&3) - Rhetoric Conversation
Sat 15 April: Mario Guida & Mattia Bonafini / Verónica Mota #293
Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:00
*Entrance 7-12 euro (up to your offer)*

*Verónica Mota - Industrial Music For Industrial People*
Industrial Music For Industrial People is the original underground creative
expression created by Throbbing Gristle in the United Kingdom in the late
seventies. This sonic project inspired a generation that reflected
structures of power, sex, machinery and capitalism. Verónica Mota brings
back the importance of non-commercial industrial sound as a radical
expression ofchaos, provocation, resistance and new forms freedom. We are
out-laws. We think by ourselves. We understand the Matrix. We create
community. We rule the machines!

*Unconventional & Experimental Facts (Mario Guida & Mattia Bonafini) -
"TiLT {serie2}"*
With improvisation we explore the relations and intersections between Noise
and Musical Structures and try also to answer to the following simple
questions:
<<Can we still compose ‘music’ with the Noise?>>
How can we organize the Noise when it is the result of Uncontrollable
Machines (TiLT Machines) (the definition of 'Tilt Machines' is:
Conventional Sound Modules - or Machines - pushed to their functional
limits)

Sunday 16 April: Sound Portraits #17: Iannis Xenakis
Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:00

*Sound Portraits* is a series of listening sessions, curated by Doron Sadja
<http://spektrumberlin.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=29418c689739de9e668a7d5e8&id=93b414b7b5&e=492cc49626>,
focusing on the work of iconic composers who have paved the way for
contemporary electronic music. This session: Iannis Xenakis
You can read all you like about the mathematics, computers, architecture
and Greek myths that underpin the music of *Iannis Xenakis*’s music, but
nothing quite prepares you for its savage, brute force and immense beauty.
A composer, architect, engineer, and political refugee, Xenakis is arguably
one of the most important composers of the 20th century - pioneering the
use of mathematical models in music such as applications of set theory,
stochastic processes and game theory and was also a vital force in the
development of electronic and computer music. A trained architect, Xenakis
collaborated with Le Corbusier, which influenced his approach with music:
he integrated music with architecture, designing music for pre-existing
spaces, and designing spaces to be integrated with specific music
compositions and performances.

*SPEKTRUM* is a project space in Neukölln for idealisation, realisation and
exhibition of technology-based artworks, media-focused events and
futuristic utopias based on the principle "do-it-together-with-others". Above
all, we are an open space promoting participatory processes to co-define
and co-design a social and physical playground for curiosity and critical
understanding.
