Monday 14 Nov: Alphawave #12: Analytical Engine and Matias Brunacci

Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:00
*Entrance 6-10 euro (up to your offer)*

*Alphawave #12* will host performance of two technologists/artists that
embody aleatory, undeterminancy, casuality in their art practice: in one
word: intuition and induction, instead of deduction. Isn’t intuition
another, powerful, uncontrollable way to discern reality?

We’re very glad to present German physics and artist *Analytical Engine*
and Argentinian technologist and artist *Matias Brunacci.*

Start time: 19:30

Join us for the next community meeting of the movLab - a place for
researching ways to digitize motion and the human body and to make the data
accessible for further use in VR, gaming, stage performance or art. We are
building sensors, writing code and explore new ways of moving.

Wednesday 16 Nov: Cryptoparty #227

Doors: 19:00 / Start time: 19:30
Learn and teach how to use basic cryptography tools in a relaxed and
respectful atmosphere. No prior knowledge required: curiosity, wanting to
learn, asking questions is all that's needed. Bringing your laptop or
smartphone would be useful.

EXHIBITION #7: BEHAVIOURAL MACHINES

*18-19-20 November 2016 at SPEKTRUM*
*Curated by Alfredo Ciannameo*

The exhibition '*Behavioural Machines*' explores the way in which
mathematical models that describe complex natural phenomena have been
used to create new audiovisual works appllied to domains such as light
sculpture, robotics and abstract film. Chaos theory, swarm behavior and
processes of emerging
life in the biological world (morphogenesis) are the three dimensions in
which the selected projects unfold the beauty of modern algorithms.
Using their fundamental rules to set a visual language, these
works challenge the audience to look inside the intelligence of the 'Mother
of Design': Nature,
while anticipating the contemporary debate underlying the science and
technology that makes it possible to bring those representations to the
next level
by means of an Artificial Intelligence (A.I.): the ultimate state
in which the algorithm generates its own creative behaviour.

*ARTWORKS:*

*So Kanno - LaserBugs (prototype) with projection mapping in collaboration
with Krisjanis Rijnieks*
*TeZ - PLASM*
*Ran Ancor - Second Brain*

*Opening: Friday 18 November 18:00 // running daily from 16:00 - 23:00
Entrance 5-10 euro*

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
Workshop: Projection mapping with the Raspberry Pi

*Workshop: 26-27 November from 10:00 - 16:00 *

Have you ever set up a permanent projection mapping installation and did
not want to leave your personal computer at the venue? If so, this workshop
is for you. You would like to make ten projection mapping objects, but your
budget is too low to buy Mac Pro's? No problem. You can solve that with
ofxPiMapper. It is an open source projection mapping software, an addon for
openFrameworks that runs on the Raspberry Pi. During this two-day workshop
by Krisjanis Rijnieks

you
will learn about projection mapping by using the ofxPiMapper.

Workshop ➝ Spatial sound and lights using Reaktor, Arena, DMX

*29 November - 3 December from **10:00 - 16:00 // organised by CC4AV*

Sound and light are ephemeral, visceral, and abstract by nature, yet they
possess an incredible power to manipulate us in ways that words and images
cannot. In this weeklong workshop by Doron Sadja
<http://spektrumberlin.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=29418c689739de9e668a7d5e8&id=63c611eaf9&e=492cc49626>
we’ll explore the tools, technologies, and techniques available for
sculpting immersive sound and light environments.

Workshop Laboratory / Federica Dauri & Danilo Colonna [LVM]
*12-16 December from **13:00 - 17:00*

The main focus of this 5-day workshop is the investigation of the body as a
“multi-functional tool”. We will provide a series of performative tools to
develop an internal awareness of the body and an external awareness in
space, in connection with sound and with others. The aim is for the dancer
to become more aware of his/her own body lightness, power, creativity and
internal landscapes.

*SPEKTRUM* is a project space in Neukölln for idealisation, realisation and
exhibition of technology-based artworks, media-focused events and
futuristic utopias based on the principle "do-it-together-with-others". Above
all, we are an open space promoting participatory processes to co-define
and co-design a social and physical playground for curiosity and critical
understanding.
