on Wednesday and Thursday our artists in residence Daniel Rourke and 
Morehshin Allahyari will host a two-days workshop related to their 3D 
Additivist Cookbook at District, followed by a public talk on Thursday 
evening.

On 22 and 23 June, Morehshin Allahyari <http://www.morehshin.com/> and 
Daniel Rourke <http://machinemachine.net/> will host an “Additivist” 
workshop surrounding their summer project for the transmediale and Vilém 
Flusser Archive residency 
<https://transmediale.de/content/vil-m-flusser-residency-for-artistic-research-2016-jury-statement>. 
The workshop calls creators and thinkers to challenge and take action 
around a technology filled with hope and promise: the 3D printer. 
Participants will consider the metaphorical and practical implications 
of additive processes, explore the potential of “disobedient objects,” 
and devise practical and conceptual 3D-printable designs with radical 
implications. Together the group will question the notion of problem 
solving, using dystopia, horror, and weirding as methodologies. Please 
note that the workshop requires registration.
