There will be time for anyone to share and discuss a project they have
made. Don't hesitate showing work that’s in progress or incomplete. We also
encourage you to share tutorials/frameworks to enable others to reproduce
or even expand on your work. No prior knowledge about AI is required to
participate; just a sense of curiosity about the future of machine-made art
and its philosophical and cultural implications!

Thursday 21 July: Jasper Fung / Martin Rodriguez

Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:30
*Entrance 5-10 euro (up to your offer)*

*Jasper Fung - Transient spikes*
Transient spikes is a live sound performance using Transducer as an object
to generate sound from a feedback loop. Transducers are connected to hacked
electronics to create audio spikes with amplifying the mixer’s internal
electrical signals. These spikes are visualized by the transducer’s jumping
movements and turn them into live sound objects.

*Martin Rodriguez - Radio Therapy*
The fog of chemo and numbness of radiation. The brain surgery. Paralysis.
The seizure that exposed it all. The sterile sounds of the hospital. One
must find a way to heal. "Radio Therapy" expresses these sentiments by
transforming the brutal sounds of Rodriguez's MRI into a meditation on the
healing process of his recovery from a cancerous brain tumor, creating both
a soothing and battling ambiance of recovery & remission.

*Award Ceremony of MathLapse Film Festival*
Director and mathematician *Ekaterina Erimenko* (Colours of Math, The

.

A “MathLapse” is a new educational and artistic format, which is supposed
to highlight the link between mathematics and real-world phenomena. The
name MathLapse is inspired by the timelapse-technique in physics: By
re-scaling time, phenomena that we cannot observe with the naked eye are
visualized. A MathLapse is short, simple, self-contained and creative and
should illustrate a single mathematical idea through true or virtual
animated images. More information: http://ic16.imaginary.org/mathlapse/

DEUTERIUM
Sunday 24 July: Light Movement 14: Oracles
*ORACLES: Films by Los Angeles Artists*
selected by Andrew Kim in collaboration with Labor Berlin

   - Thom Andersen & Malcolm Brodwick
   - Karissa Hahn
   - Amy Halprin
   - Andrew Kim
   - Alee Peoples
   - Marc Toscano

Messages can be obscure, and this might be the result of place: Los
Angeles. Seemingly, there is no rhyme or reason ... or is there? One must
look past the surface. This program represents an array of perspectives
from Los Angeles area seers. Employing various formal approaches, these
films attempt to see beyond face value. At once, these visions are unified
by the spirit of experimentation and independent expression that
characterizes the alternative cinema in Los Angeles.

Curated by James Edmonds as part of the Light Movement series

*SPEKTRUM* is a project space in Neukölln for idealisation, realisation and
exhibition of technology-based artworks, media-focused events and
futuristic utopias based on the principle
"do-it-together-with-others". Above all, we are an open space promoting
participatory processes to co-define and co-design a social and physical
playground for curiosity and critical understanding.
