Wed 7 Dec: Atonal Gender: Zoe Crook / Paula Montecinos #236

Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:00
Entrance 6-10 euro (up to your offer)

*Atonal gender – a Soundlandscape performance series #1 Curated by Danilo
Andrés with: Zoe Crook, Paula Montecinos*

Series of performances exploring the connection between the term
„metagender“ and experimental sound through the participation of different
body performers that share this common intersection in their own work, in
research with voice, instrumental music or in the territory of
soundlandscapes. The atomization of perspectives and the crisis of
alphabets about "gender" drive us to understand gender as a phenomenon in
evolution (metagender), and also to open the creative sources for a wide
range of layers and issues that are not exclusively related with sexuality
(metabody) which finally make resonance in the multiplicity of ways we can
sense and experience the reality around us (senses, organs, perception).
Following these principles as an unspecific beat, the project aims to
collect new fantasies and technologies to imagine a "gender" of the future.
"Gender" as a dark piece of fiction and dramaturgy in action and evolution,
under the common score of performers using and setting different sonorous
dispositives (a-capella voice, soundlandscape installation, loop machine).

Friday 9 Dec: The Society for Nontrivial Pursuits #238
Doors: 18:30 / Start time: 19:00
Entrance: 5-10 euro (up to your offer)

*An evening with THE SOCIETY FOR NONTRIVIAL PURSUITS*

Complex behaviors, whether in feedback systems, chaotic circuits, social
systems and/or computer programs are fascinating objects of study. The
Society for Nontrivial Pursuits (students, alumni and associates of the
class Generative Art / Computational Art at UdK Berlin) explores the
possibility spaces of such systems for experimental performance. They
design, build and program their own audio/visual performance systems based
on a variety of devices, sensors, analog electronics, and software
synthesis, and use them in extremely diverse projects, often intended for
performance contexts.

Sun 11 Dec: Sound Portraits #16: Pauline Oliveiros

Doors: 19:30 / Start time: 20:00

*Sound Portraits* is a series of listening sessions, curated by Doron
Sadja, focusing on the work of iconic composers who have paved the way for
contemporary electronic music. After a short introduction of each artist's
life and work, we will listen to a selection of excerpts and complete works
from the artist’s repertoire. Besides providing an opportunity to introduce
these seminal artists to a new audience, the Sound Portraits series also
offers an open forum to engage in group listening in a quiet atmosphere.

Tonight we celebrate the life and work of *Pauline Oliveros*, one of the
most influential composers of the 20th and 21st century, who passed away
just last week.

Workshop Laboratory / Federica Dauri & Danilo Colonna [LVM]
*12-16 December from **13:00 - 17:00*

The main focus of this 5-day workshop is the investigation of the body as a
“multi-functional tool”. We will provide a series of performative tools to
develop an internal awareness of the body and an external awareness in
space, in connection with sound and with others. The aim is for the dancer
to become more aware of his/her own body lightness, power, creativity and
internal landscapes.

*SPEKTRUM* is a project space in Neukölln for idealisation, realisation and
exhibition of technology-based artworks, media-focused events and
futuristic utopias based on the principle "do-it-together-with-others". Above
all, we are an open space promoting participatory processes to co-define
and co-design a social and physical playground for curiosity and critical
understanding.
