///// ABSTRACT: The increasing of technology-based manufacture is inspiring
nowadays an enormous social, creative and economical phenomenon of emerging
practices focused on the idea of MAKING and MAKING BY SHARING. In 2015
SPEKTRUM is challenging, for the first time, a new performative happening
in the form of a three days market - a GEEK MARKET - where we aim to
collect and connect crowds of Berlin-based makers willing to show, promote
and sell their technologically processed products such as 3Dprinted design,
sound-video DYE kits, laser cutted producs, Arduino and-or other computer
interfaces products.

A total happening will be designed in our 160sqm by means of stands for
displaying your work, series of demonstrations-performances, workshops or
whatever you think will help you to promote and sell your work. GEEKS FOR
SELL is the central question of the market: a trading of maker-products
redefining a possible economical model for future maker developments.

During these 3days Spektrum will present its upcoming program for our new
community of makers which will gain next summer a maker space in site;
specifically dedicated to produce artistic projects. Spektrum aims to
involve critical discussions on the use of these technologies and offer new
trajectories for spreading forms of partecipations on multidisciplinary
crowds.

We ask for a small charge of 15 euro per stand/3days. The money is used to
buy the tables for display. After the GEEK MARKET those tables will be
donated to the emerging maker-community at SPEKTRUM.

*SPEKTRUM* is a project space in Neukölln for idealisation, realisation and
exhibition of technology-based artworks, media-focused events and
futuristic utopias based on the principle
"do-it-together-with-others". Above all, we are an open space promoting
participatory processes to co-define and co-design a social and physical
playground for curiosity and critical understanding.
