> In der installativen Arbeit "The Future of the Past"  collagiert die Künstlerin Marija Bozinvska Jones mit Versatzstücken Ihrer Videos, Artefakten der Clubkultur, der Büste eines großen Kriegers der Antike, ein Szenenbild in den Eingangsbereich der Galerie und macht diese so zur Bühne für Ihren "political rave".

> Mit Ihren Arbeiten lotet die Künstlerin Zwischenräume aus, die sich an den Bruchstellen unserer politischen und alltäglichen Welten auftun. Sie zeigt, wie im Realen und dem darin enthaltenen Virtuellen, Grenzverlust und Geschichtslosigkeit sich zu Sinn zerstörenden aber auch sinnstiftenden Kraftfeldern entwickeln, die uns zwingen uns aufs Neue in der Zeit zu verorten. > In her installation "The Future of the Past", the artist Marija Bozinovska Jones presents edited imagery, artefacts familiar with clubculture and the bust of the great warrior of the ancient world in a collage positioned within the entrance threshold of the gallery, creating a stage for what she names 'a political rave'.

> In her work, the artist sounds the gaps that appear at the points of fracture between our political and everyday worlds.  She points out how in reality and in our virtual online existence within it, fields of force - both destructive and meaningful - are evolving through the loss of boundaries and absence of history, forcing us to reposition ourselves in time.  It is the often grotesque efflorescences of this that Marija Bozinovska Jones sets out to discover only to quote them here in 'The Future of the Past'.
