The sound installation consists of a dozen sound-objects which record
short sound samples, bird songs, which will be amplified and played back
within the space afterwards.<br><br> Each object works as receiver and
transmitter at the same time creating a situation of live sampling.
Thereby every object works on its own and independently but mimicking
the other ones.<br> <br> Like birds in the forest the objects try to
impress each other getting louder, screaming more, or becoming quiet. It
is hard to locate a single sound, a single object, they work all
together c<span>reating a network of information.<br> As the system itself is an open system, the viewer also becomes part of the installation.<br> <i><br>
EEVA-LIISA PUHAKKA</i> is a finnish artist based in Berlin working within
the field of new media art. Puhakka´s works are moments, atmospheric and

IMMERSION II </b></i>"<br></span>a series of immersive sound and light performances by <b>Doron Sadja</b><br> <br>
Based loosely on Ganzfield experiments (a technique used in
parapsychology in the 1970s as a way of invoking telepathy)</span><span><span> Color Field Immersion</span> involves masking the audience with semi-transparent blindfolds
onto which light projections are mapped.<br> Similar to sensory
deprivation, Color Field Immersion provides perceptual deprivation,
replacing the entirety of each audience member’s visual field with
washes of color, line, and movement – often inducing hallucinations as
the brain seeks to replace lost stimuli.<br> Flipping the traditional performer-audience relationship, the internalized experience becomes the location of the <span>performance.<br>
Combined with rich, textural, multichannel soundscape, Color Field
Immersion creates a deeply immersive perceptual architecture of sound
and vision.<br><br> <i>DORON SADJA</i> is an American artist, composer, and curator
whose work explores modes of perception and the experience of sound,
light, and space.<br> <br> <b>November 24th – 27th</b></span></span><span><span><b><span><span> // 6pm – 11pm</span></span> </b><br> <br><b>PRIVATE PERFORMANCES<i> (by appointment) </i></b><br> One-on-one performances lasting approximately 30 minutes each. <br> Performances are <i><b>free</b></i>, but audience members are asked to fill out a short questionnaire after the performance.<i><b> Please Email</b> <b><a href="mailto:doron@sadja.com" target="_blank">doron@sadja.com</a></b> <b>to make an appointment</b></i><br> <br> <b><br>November 28th</b> <b>// </b></span></span><span><span><b><span><span>8pm SHARP</span></span></b><br><br><b>PUBLIC PERFORMANCE</b><br>
