August 2013 im Rahmen des Fassadenprojektions-Festivals „Genius Loci Weimar“ an der Bauhaus Universität Weimar stattfinden. Unter dem Thema „Mediale Fassaden“ möchten wir Ihnen – Künstler, Architekten, Softwareentwickler und Theoretiker unterschiedlicher Fachgebiete – Raum geben, zusammen in einen kritischen Dialog über Ihr Schaffen einzutreten</p><p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; widows: 0; orphans: 0; font-size: medium; ">Fassaden fungieren als u.a. Vermittler zwischen Gebäude und Bewohnern, zwischen Gegenwart und Zukunft, spiegeln aber auch politische und städteplanerische Herangehensweisen dar. Mediale Fassaden bzw. „Urban Screens“ sind interdisziplinäre Projekte, die auf einem hohen künstlerischen Niveau umgesetzt werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund möchten wir in Vorträgen und Workshops mit Ihnen gemeinsam Fragen z.B. zu öffentlichen Plätzen für soziale Interaktion, zur sich dynamisch verändernden, digitalisierten Umwelt, zur Kommerzialisierung von Fassaden, sowie zur Nachhaltigkeit solcher Festivals näher beleuchten. Dabei werden die Positionen des Künstlers, seine Methodik und Konzepte für die junge Kunstform Fassadenprojektion detailliert erläutert.</p><p class="western" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; widows: 0; orphans: 0; font-size: medium; ">Die Workshops (05.-08.08.13) bieten Ihnen die Möglichkeit, mit Projektionen, Tanz, Programmierung, Sound und Videomapping frei zu experimentieren. Der zweite Symposiumstag steht im Zeichen der Reflektion, um mit Künstlern und Wissenschaftlern das Erfahrene sowie über künstlerische Methoden und Werke der Videomapping-Kunst zu diskutieren. The symposium takes place from August 5 to 11 as part of the Genius Loci Weimar facade projection festival.</p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 12px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; ">Besides their function as multidisciplinary projects of highly artistic qualities, Facades do also work as mediators between today and the past, residents and authorities, but also serves commercial interests or reflect political or planning strategies.</p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 12px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; ">In this context we are scrutinizing the questions of spaces for social interactions, dynamics, transformations and digitalized environment, democratization of public spaces, the differentiation of permanent and temporary media facades, the influences of commercialization of facades and the sustainable effects of such projects and not least media festivals for cities. Artists are explaining in detail their positions, methods and concepts for this young form of art.</p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 12px; margin-left: 0px; font: normal normal normal 12px/normal Helvetica; ">Workshops (05.-08.08.13) offer the possibility to experience and experiment projection techniques, coding, choreography, sound, videomapping , etc., mentored by experts.
